40 Weeks: Hangin In There

Weight: 224 didn't gain anything this week so still up 18 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight.
BP: 108/80
Sione's HR: 120's, Made me a little nervous at first that it was so low but she wasn't worried about it since i hadn't eaten recently and he was in a rest period which both lead to a lower heart rate.
Measurements: 41 cm/wks same as last week
Position: Still head down...wish he would push his little way out lol
Progress: No check, we are saving that for next week

So i am officially 40 weeks today! I never thought i would make it this far since Phabian and MJ were born early but seems i am here and finding myself more patient than i thought possible.

I am holding steady at +18lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. My blood pressure is still great and i am not showing any signs of too much swelling. Sione's heart rate was a little low today in the 120's but i also had not eaten before my appointment and he was asleep (or in one of his less active times during the day). She didn't seem worried about it so i am not either. She confirmed he is very stretched out but not an extremely big baby (just long). She did not check me today but we did talk a lot about what is coming.

I have a NST on Thursday to check him and his fluid levels. She wants me to (although she said this more to Marcus) have as much sex as possible to help soften my cervix lol. Like he has a problem with that! If i have not went into labor by next Wednesday she wants me to try a little caster oil the day before my appointment and then if that doesn't help on Wednesday we will discuss more stripping my membranes or possibly even breaking my water (not really what we want to do because of the group b strep). Either way we are pretty much planning that he will be here next week.

We joked for awhile about not wanting me to go to 42 weeks as it is the day before Thanksgiving and none of us wanna be delivering a baby on Thanksgiving lol. So with fingers crossed i will be meeting my little man sometime in the next week!!! I am so excited!

39 Weeks: He Is Never Coming Out

Weight: 224 up 4 lb from last week and 18 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight. Someone needs to lay off the Halloween candy lol!
BP: 104/70
Sione's HR: 140
Measurements: 41 cm/wks still measuring big
Position: Still head down...way down lol
Progress: I am still 2cm and not feeling like a laboring cervix

So besides the disappointing weight gain i am a little bit depressed about the lack of progress. It seems i have been having some very painful Braxton Hick Contractions but nothing more than that.

The midwife did reassure me today that even if it feels unready at the moment i could still go home and go into labor tonight. She said cervix checks are just not a accurate reading of labor.

She also settled my fears of going over due. She felt the baby and his position and said he is not a big baby. He is however very stretched out and relaxing. Which is why he feels so big to me. She said he has plenty of room to grow and I have very good birthing hips that will allow for a great delivery.

So the next few weeks will be a mix of NST tests (if i make it to 40 weeks), amniotic fluid checks, and waiting.

Tomorrow would have been my Mom's birthday so i am still holding out hope that he could share that very special day with her but i wont hold my breathe lol.

I am feeling much better about how things are going and although i am still tired, exhausted, in pain and ready for him to get here, I am also willing to wait and give him the time he needs to grow.

Such a great attitude i know! We will see how long it lasts though lol!

38 Weeks and Impatiently Waiting

Weight: 220 up 1 lb from last week and 14 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight.
BP: 118/80
Sione's HR: 140
Measurements: 40 cm/wks back to being 2 weeks ahead
Position: Still head down and no longer back to back with me.
Progress: She didn't check me again today and i didn't ask so no new news really.

So no news! No checking! No baby!!!!

I am STILL having contractions but just more random.

He is was down in my pelvis and my pelvic bone feels like it just might snap in half.

I am running fast out of patients with Sione' and my body, my kids, myhusband, and anyone or thing that crosses my path.

I am however grateful to my sister who took me to dinner and a movie Monday night. She wanted to take me out for a night before Sione' does get here. We went to Chili's to eat and then went and to go see Saw VI. I had a blast and it was a great movie.

So really nothing to update on. Same old same old and i am just sooooooooooo ready!

Eviction Notice: 37 Weeks and Midwife Update

Weight: 219 up 1 lb from last week and 13 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight.
BP: 104/68
Sione's HR: 145 and right up near the skin of my lower belly.
Measurements: 37 cm/weeks. Right on for my actual due date.
Position: Still head down and no longer back to back with me.
Progress: She didn't check me today and i didn't ask so no new news really. I am having some mild contractions here and there but nothing serious. Plan on doing a lot of walking from here on out.

I am officially giving Sione' his eviction notice as of today! His lease is up and he hasn't paid rent in almost a year so i think it is more than fair to ask him to vacate the premises lol!

On a more serious note i tested positive for GBS (Group B Strep) but the midwife assured me that all is ok and as long as i get my antibiotics then i should have no problem. We talked a lot about different scenarios and problems with my current pediatrician but we have a plan and it works for all of us.

I wont say much just that my pediatrician is not very pro birth center or midwife and it is causing some problems. He wants me to admit the baby back into the hospital for 48 hr observation after i give birth (since i tested GBS+) and i do not think it is necessary after talking about it with my midwives. I think it is actually more risky to expose a newborn to the hostile germ filled hospital if it is not truly needed.

Anyways we also talked about when i need to call them and when i need to leave to go to the center. I will be ask to come in a little earlier than a normal delivery since i am GBS+ and they want to make sure i get my antibiotics in.

Other than that i am just playing the waiting game now. He is free to show his face any time now and i am getting so excited. I am really ready for it now and plan on doing a lot of walking and other things ***;)*** to hopefully speed along his arrival. I am just done being pregnant and ready to meet my little man!

Almost There: 36 Week Pictures and Midwife Update

Weight: 218 up 1 lb from 2 weeks ago and 12 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight. She assured me that the 1 lb is probably all baby at this point though.
BP: 110/80 which is a little high for me but still very very normal.
Sione's HR: 140's and very strong.
Measurements: 38 cm/weeks. If i am still measuring this far head (2 weeks essentially) next week we will schedule another U/S to see if we can find the cause (either big baby or excess fluid).
Position: He is definitely head down (way down) and he is also at the moment back to back with me which we want to avoid since that is the cause of back labor. She suggested i spend some time a couple times a day on all fours (which hubby just lights up about; sicko) or bending over.
Progress: She checked me upon my request (due to my history of 37/38 week delivery) and i am 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. She said it is no where near a laboring cervix but that it is a great start for 36 weeks.

As far as how i am feeling well i bet you can guess. I am sooooo uncomfortable! Just ready to meet my little man and find out what he looks like and how big he is.

I finally got my bag partially packed. I have all the stuff i need for him in the bag and still need to get my stuff in there. I am going to pack a separate back with some snacks, toys, and such for the kids and myself.

This weekend i am going to try and find a comfy robe and a night gown for the birth. I decided if i end up in the tub a sports bra will probably be worn so that is already taken care of. Just need to finish it all up and put it in the car for when the time comes.

I had my maternity pics done yesterday and i can not wait to share with you all. I just know they turned our beautiful! She did some great shots of all the boys and me, just Marcus and I, and then me by myself. I can not wait to share.

So that is it for this week. I have my 37 week appointment next Tuesday and i will have another update next Wednesday. Till then just holding Mr. Sione' in!

Midwife Update - 27 Weeks

I had a Midwife appointment today. I am officially 27 weeks which means i only have 13 more weeks (or less AHHHHH) to go.

Here are some of the stats and then i will tell you how i have been feeling.

Weight: 216, which means i have gained 8 lbs in 6 weeks. The good thing is i am still only +10 lbs overall. WOOHOO!
BP: 104/70
Baby's HR: 152
Measurements: I am 27 weeks and measuring 30 weeks (wow)! This is a first for me as i never measured ahead wit either of the boys. I always measured right on or slightly below. Sione is looking to be a big baby!

So i have been complaining a lot lately. I am enjoying every second of this pregnancy, i promise, but it is extremely different than my first 2 pregnancies. For that matter if my pregnancy with Phabian had gone like this one than this might be my 2nd pregnancy not my 3rd.

My pregnancies with Phabian and MJ were highly easy and enjoyable. I was never uncomfortable til the very end and i didn't have much to complain about (other than back pain and swollen feet which i think i complained about before i ever got pregnant anyways).

This pregnancy has been the complete opposite (which maybe has something to do with this apparently huge baby [see above measurements]). My sides feel like he is going to bust out! He is head down which was confirmed today by the position of his heartbeat (which i already knew from the pressure in my crotch), so i don't really understand why it feels like he is busting my sides open.

I have heartburn now 24/7 which would be cool if i could take Tums but now Tums make me absolutely sick. The midwife suggested that i start taking Pepcid ac instead. I will give it a try and hope for the best as i can not take waking up 5 times a night to chew on chalk.

Speaking of waking up 5 times a night. I can not sleep through the night. I have horrible pregnancy insomnia this time around. I normally go to bed around 11pm and wake up every 2 hours looking at the clock. Then i am up at 5 to pee because once again i have a huge baby bouncing on my bladder. I go back to sleep only to get up at 6:30 to start my morning routine! It is torture. I just want one straight night of sleep before i have Sione here to act a smy personal alarm clock.

So that is enough whining i guess lol, although i could go on and on.

On some more positive notes, i love to feel this little guy move. He is so active and loves to tumble around and kick my belly, sides, kidney's, bladder, spleen, or what ever else he finds amusing.

I love love love love my midwives. They are some of the most caring and intellient women i have ever met. If i would not have to move to a different state to attend school i would so consider becoming a midwife myself. They are a great group of women and always treat me wit the up most respect, even answer some of my more dumb questions with a smile and pleasant ora.

So that is how it is all going. Wish i had a picture or something for ya but no luck today.

Is This How It Goes?

I have been told a million times that tossing and turning during pregnancy (aka pregnancy insomnia) is your body preparing for a newborn.

So here is my question to you (and this might be TMI and kinda rhetorical)...

If pregnancy insomnia is your body's way of preparing you for having a newborn and a million sleepless night, is constipation your pregnant body's way of preparing you to push out your baby?

Just a thought!

Web Culprit

I got up at 6:30 as always to have my 30 *uninterrupted* mins before the kids get up. When i walked through the dinning room to go to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee i walked through a spider web. IN MY DINNING ROOM! At that point i was not awake enough to terrorize myself by turning on the light to look for the web culprit so i got my coffee and sat at the computer trying not to think about it. When Phabian got up at 7 i turned the dinning room light on to see a Texas sized web that stretched from ceiling fan to floor (with a huge hole in it from my body) and on the fan i saw a huge spider (like the size of a quarter). I immediately went into panic mode. I tried to stay calm as i did not want to make the kids upset but i was terrified!

So i grabbed the broom and removed the web and tried to kill the spider with it but the darn thing kept moving to where i could not reach it. Finally i called Marcus at work almost in tears (yes i have a bit of arachnophobia) and he told me to go get the spray bottle of bleach and try to spray it. So for 5 mins on the phone with him i cried and whined and sprayed this damn spider. Then i informed him that if i couldn't kill it before he got home i would not be here, i would be at him moms. Finally about 2 mins after i hung up the phone the spider started its decent to the carpet where i finally was able to kill it with a shoe.

What made it all the more humorous was the fact that i was making this Kung Foo type scream (still trying not to scare the kids) while chopping at this quarter sized spider with a rather large (my husband's) size 13 shoe. The kids got a good laugh at it for the next 30 mins as they reenacted *Mommy's craziness*! And it was hard for me not to laugh with them (you know since it was over with now).

So needless to say i have had a *GREAT* morning so far.

Since i did not get any pictures of this above stated craziness i will give you some pictures of my huge, 26 week pregnant, whale of a self.

Isn't It Ironic...

How we forget all the horrible parts of pregnancy until after we are already into it.

When i started getting baby fever about a year ago i had no thought what so ever about that hard, frustrating, and sometimes overwhelming parts of pregnancy. All i was thinking about was how my "baby" was turning/turned 2 and my eldest had started school. Soon my youngest would be in school and i would be home alone.

Everyone around me was having babies and getting pregnant and i was in high alert mode. All i could think about was how much i wanted a 3rd child and how i couldn't wait any loner to be pregnant.

Now don't get me wrong i do not by any means wish i hadn't conceived Sione! I am so happy to be carrying this little man in my belly. I also highly enjoyed/enjoy being pregnant. It is a unexplainable feeling to be carrying a life inside you. Nothing else in life can compare to the feeling of holding a life in your hands.

However (and this is the part where i get a little whiny) i had completely forgotten how annoying, frustrating, overwhelming, and teeth gritting pregnancy can be. All the little things add up and can make me just want to pop my head off my shoulders and roll it down a bowling alley (or maybe that is what my head feels like has been done to it).

I forgot how hard it is to roll out of bed (most of the time over my hubby) when i need to pee at 3 am. I also forgot how uncomfortable it is to have a 1lb baby sitting on and kicking your bladder 24/7. Having 2 pee every 10 mins is also not fun. It seems i spend a good amount of time in my bathroom.

Speaking of kicking babies!!!!

Why is it that this baby never sleeps? I swear to you he sleeps in 20 minute increments and spends the rest of the time kicking the crap outta me. Now i am so thankful to be able to feel him move and that he is able to move. I love feeling him move and watching my belly jump. However i feel like if there was a good hour or 2 where i could go without him kicking i would be doing great. He is so strong he even wakes me out of a dead sleep with his jabs to my ovaries.

All of the above mentioned things then lead to me being completely exhausted no matter how much sleep i seem to get. I go to bed early and still wake up tired. I take a nap and become more tired than i was before the nap. I am always in a state of exhaustion. Having other children to take care of does not help with this exhaustion.

To end on a bright note i have the greatest hubby in the world. For those who follow me on twitter or read my blog the other day you already know what i am referring to. My husband took the kids all weekend allowing me to sleep in and pretty much have 2 days all to myself. How great is he!?!?!?!?!

Old Wive's Tales Predict

Katie @ Isnt TTC Suppose To Be Fun invited all us expectant moms to play along and see how well the Old Wives Tales really fare. I find it to be a 50/50 chance but we will give it a go since i already know what i am having.

It's a boy if:
· You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
· Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
· You are carrying the extra weight out front
· Your belly looks like a basketball
· Your areolas have darkened considerably
· You are carrying low
· You are craving salty or sour foods
· You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
· Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
· The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
· Your hands are very dry
· Your pillow faces north when you sleep
· Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
· Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
· Your urine is bright yellow in color
· Your nose is spreading
· You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in circles
· You are having headaches
· You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number

It's a girl if:
· You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
· Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
· You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
· Your left breast is larger than your right breast
· Your hair develops red highlights
· You are carrying high
· Your belly looks like a watermelon
· You are craving sweets
· You are craving fruit
· You crave orange juice
· You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
· You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
· Your face breaks out more than usual
· You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
· Your breasts have really blossomed!
· Your pillow faces south when you sleep
· Your urine is a dull yellow color
· You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side to side
- You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number

Boy wives tales: 9
Girl wives tales: 8

See like i said 50/50! Either way i guess it comes out of the air of Boy but only by one point. This was fun though and i hope all of my preggy friends will play along!

Breastfeeding on MTV

I don't how many of you have heard of the new show on MTV called 16 and Pregnant, but after much apprehension, I decided to watch it.

I was adamantly against it when i first heard about it because in my opinion we give too much glory to teen pregnancy as it is. The TV, Magazines, and other media sources are constantly pushing teen pregnancy in our and our children's faces. Often they don't make parenting (especially as a teen) look as hard as it truly is. They glorify it and make it seem as if being a parent is just a piece of cake.

Those of us who have been through the sleepless nights, the sore boobs, the tantrums, the diapers, and the puke can attest that things are not always as simple (or as fun) as they seem. One of my best friends had her baby when we were just 15 so i got a first hand look at how hard it was to be a young mother.

So back to the real subject at hand. When i flipped on the season premiere of this show i was gritting my teeth to say the least. I just knew that this was all going to confirm my suspicions about the media and how we see teen moms. I cant say i was 100% correct in my thoughts but it didnt make me feel good about it either.

The very first episode gave me some comfort in the fact that they didn't try to hide how hard the young couple was struggling. They lived together in a small apartment and the father was still busy trying to live life as the mother struggled to finish school, work, and take care of the baby by herself. Needless to say they went their separate ways (as most teen parents eventually do).

With the same apprehension i went on to watch the second episode. It made me sick!!! The girl was a whining brat in my opinion. She kept talking about how it wouldn't be that hard to be a parent and how she would be fine. The final ticker for me was when she said there was no way she was breast feeding because she didn't want her boobs to be all saggy and stretched out. It made my day when her OB informed her that it was too late for that as pregnancy itself is usually the culprit of all the stretch marks and sagging! I ended up turning this episode off early as i could not bear to watch!

I skipped the next episode because i was still furious! When i flipped on the middle of episode 4 i was shocked by the image i saw. Here was a beautiful, new, 16 year old mother breastfeeding her beautiful baby right before my eyes on my TV screen. I was dumb founded but in the greatest way. I never, ever, ever, expected MTV to show a breast on its TV (outside of spring break), much less a breast with a baby attached to it!!! I was so pleasantly surprised that found a follow up episode and watched it from the beginning.

I don't watch a lot of MTV. Really the only shows i watch on their is Real World or the Challenges. But i am giving MTV a big thumbs up for showing a breastfeeding mom on their show even if she was a teen. After all the controversy of Facebook erasing pictures of Mom's breastfeeding it was a relief to see a media source not afraid to show the healthiest way to feed our babies (I think most of us can agree even if you didn't breast feed that it is the best way just not always the best for all moms).

The one thing i thought was lacking from this show was the option of adoption. With so many people out there willing and ready to adopt i found it odd that MTV wasn't covering this. How happy i was to find out that the last episode scheduled for Thursday at 10pm will cover a teen who is considering adoption. I promise i will be watching.

Happy 4th and Pregnancy Update

Source

Happy 4th of July aka Independence Day! Today we celebrate our freedom to be individuals. We have so many freedoms here that others are not privileged to. We take for granted a lot of these and today we celebrate instead of complain.

While you are BBQing with your family, swimming, or watching fire works please remember to give a prayer and a thought for our troops who fight for our freedom to remain intact. They risk their lives so that we can say we are free. Also remember the families that are behind these brave men and women. They need our support just as much as those who fight.

If you see one of our soldiers out today give them a big Thank You for all they do!

I hope you all have a great day! I am headed to a family BBQ with the In Laws! We are going to have a blast with lots of food, family, friends, and did i say food! Enjoy the day!

Now just as a reminder to myself and for a baby book reminder i am updating on baby and me.

We had our 21 week appointment Thursday. I gained 4 lbs since my last appointment but that only puts me at +2 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. My BP was 100/68 which is low for me but still normal and good. Sione's HR was 156 as usual. He was a little preturbed by the doppler and insisted on kicking it and dodging it. He is becoming quiet the kicker. He spends a good 3 hours on an off all day kicking me around lol. Yesterday we spent a good hour watching my belly bounce around with his kicks. As I type he is kick kick kicking away lol.

As for a name we finally found a middle ground we love. Sione has a middle name baring any changes. You might remember this post about my husband's cousin who passed away. they were very close and we have decided that his middle name would make a great middle name for our little man. So without further ado his name will be Sione Marcellus! I have gotten rave reviews from all our friends and i presonally love it. So thank you all who made suggestions and helped out.

Baby Name Help!!!!

So i am in crisis!

No seriously, baby naming is a crisis for me.

I am not one of the women who waits to see the baby before she names it. I am a planner and always have had baby names picked out within the first 3 months; that way we already knew the name we would use regardless of boy or girl.

We did have names picked out. Or so i thought. For a boy we had a beautiful name! Now hubby has decided that he doesn't really like it anymore. He loves the middle name so now we are going to use that as a first name.

So the problem now is i cant find a middle name that sounds and fits well with the first name. It is driving me insane!!!

So here i am on my knees begging for name suggestions from you dear bloggy friends.

Baby Bug's first name has officially been dubbed (barring my husband's ever changing mind) Sione (pronounced C-O-Nay).

Some name we have ruled out are: Isaiah, Issac, Hunter, Alec, Francis (after my Mom's middle name), Julius (which was suppose to be the first name), and Julian.

The only name we can agree on is Ozmoni but i feel like it is a tongue twister when put all together and would possibly be h-e-double hockey sticks on my kids later on lol. So it is kind of a last resort of sorts.

What we are doing now is taking suggestions from everyone and making a list to pick from!

So please help me out and give me what ever you have. I really like uncommon names but since we are talking middle names and not first i am open to anything!

I would like it to have a nice flow with Sione (which means "God's Grace" for those wondering).

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

20 Week Belly Shots

For lack of anything better to post (also known as blogger block) i have for you my 20 week belly shots! I still can't believe that i am half way through this pregnancy. Maybe more than half way since i have never made it to 40 weeks with any of my previous pregnancies. Either way i am savoring every moment of this. Baby Bug is moving more and more theses days and his kicks are getting stronger. We are getting closer to picking a name although we are completely unsure of a middle name. With my husband's permission i think i might ask for your input with that part. We can't seem to find something that we really like and that fits. So look forward to a post asking for your participation!

Break Out The Blue...

The Bug is offically a boy! Yes you heard right we are adding one more healthy, bouncing, baby boy to our brood. We are throwing around names now! We have all but decided on a first name but are having a little difficulty for a middle name that fits. I will let you know as we go and maybe even let you have your say so lol. So for now to appease you all (as we know we all love a good US pic) are the US pics from today!

17 Week Appt

So i am officially 17 weeks. Almost half way there. It seems like it has really flown by fast so far. I am trying to savor every minute of it since this could be my last (barring any surprises). I have been feeling a lot of movement. Bug has on and off days. Today was a on day and Bug was moving around like crazy. I really love being able to feel Bug move around this early as i really do want to enoy and take in as much as possible.

My appointment went great today. I am down 3 lbs since my last appointment which puts me -2 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. My midwife doesnt seem to concerned about it. Since i was overweight before my pregnancy she really is only looking for me to gain between 10 and 15 lbs. My BP is great. 108/70 which is my normal. Bugs heart beat was great ranging between 160 and 180. Bug was moving so much that she had to take it twice just to be sure of a number. We chatted for a long time about how i have been feeling and what i am looking for in this birth. I really am loving my midwives. They so ginuwinly care. They also did my CBC (i think thats what it was called) to check for downs and other things but told me not to worry too much as they have a high rate of false positives.

They are scheduling my US for sometime the end of next week or beginning of the next. I am so excited and nervous. I have no clue why but i think it has to do with my uncertainity about whether Bug is a girl or boy. With Phabian and MJ i just knew they were both boys even though i wanted MJ to be a girl. This time i am at a loss. Everyone else thinks it is a girl but i just dont know and i dont really have a feeling about it this go around.

So just for kicks here are a few 17 week belly pics. Please excuse the cars towel on my head, the saggy boobs, and the spandex dress lol. I had just gotten out of the shower and couldnt find anything else to put on except this tube dress that i bought when i was like 16 (and have no clue why it is still in my home lol).

200!!!!

So yea i have been putting this off for a week or more now but could not wait anymore as i have a lot going on in my head and wanted to blog.

This will be my 200th post on my blog and i am thrilled that i have made it this far. I do have a giveaway to go with this post but it will probably not come for another few days as i need pictures to post so you can see what you are competing to win. No one wants something they don't know what looks like lol. I do however promise it is cute and if you have a little girl in your life that you adore, you will love it!

On to more serious things.

I was reading Grammy Girlfriend's blog this morning and was brought to tears. She is requesting prayer for a beautiful little girl named Maggie. Maggie is 9 years old and was diagnosed on May 19th with an inoperable brain tumor on her brain stem. The family is obviously devastated and is searching for help from St Jude's. If you could please pray for Maggie and her family in this scary time. We all know that God can bless use in many many ways unknown to us and prayer is the best healer. For more information please go to Grammy's blog and feel free to pass this on to any other prayer circles or church groups as you can never pray too much.

Also asking for prayers for Elaine over at The Miss-Elaine-ous Life. She is going today for her 20 week anatomy scan. Pray that God has blessed her with a healthy baby and maybe throw in that the baby legs wont be crossed lol. God does hear all prayers!

Now on to lighter stuff...

One of my frequent reads is always The McMommy Chronicles! Today she has ask a very good question. What would you do with $25,000.00? I don't know if i have the best answer but i can honestly say i do know what i would do with it. My husband and I have found our dream house for our growing family. (If you wanna see it click here) The house is not horribly expensive but we don't have the money for a down payment which would help lower the payments. I would take $15,000.00 and put it down on that house today, right now, this instant. The other $10,000.00 would go into the savings account for tax purposes and rainy day needs. I know it isn't exciting but it is my dream! Now only if someone would loan (or give) me $25,000.00!

On to pregnancy stuff...

Since my last appointment i had been having a lot of dizzy spells and nausea which since i am no longer in my first trimester was odd to me. I landed in the ER one day only to be told i was pregnant and that explains it all. Gee thanks i had no clue that i was 14 weeks pregnant with a bug lol! The nausea finally became so bad that i couldn't eat without laying down for an hour afterwards and always felt dizzy. I called my midwife and explained to her what i was feeling. We talked for about 30 mins before she told me she thinks she knows what is wrong.

Now this wont be confirmed till my next appointment on June 4th but i am pretty sure she was right. She thinks that my body is producing too much insulin which was attacking the food when ever i would eat causing my sugar to drop very low. This intern was making me very nauseous and dizzy. The cure? Eat every hour along with my normal meals. Now i have been doing this for 2 days now and it seems to really have helped. I am not nauseous, i am not dizzy, and i am also not as tired as i had been. It is a little aggravating to have to constantly be shoving food in my mouth but her if it makes me feel better and helps keep my baby safe bring it on.

the down side of this is that i have now lost 2 lbs. This leaves me at 15 weeks pregnant and -1lb from my pre-pregnancy weight. I know most people would say it could be worse; I could have gained 15lbs or something, but i hate losing weight while i am pregnant as it makes me feel like i might be harming my baby. On a up side i got to try out this yummy check mix recipe. I needed something to snack on that was healthy and not overly heavy so that was the first thing that popped into my head. I must say we are all enjoying it and it was so easy to make.

So just for kicks to end things on a fun note here is a picture of my (huge!!!!) 15 weeks belly!

I'm Home

I'M HOME!!!!!!!!

As much as i love a good vacation nothing will ever compare to your regular schedule and your own bed!

We had so much fun and i have about a gazillion pictures to share. I will try to put together a few posts at a time but no promises on when they are coming. Here is one picture to tide you over.

This is Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah, Georgia!

I have a doctor appointment in the morning. I am exactly 13 weeks today! Officially out of the first trimester! WAHOO! Not long now til we can see if it is a boy or a girl. I am hoping for the later but will be happy just to have another sweet healthy baby among our family!

In other news i would like to ask you all to pray from my friend Brittany and her sweet newborn baby girl Kaci. Kaci seemed fine when she was born but later was readmitted when with a jaundice level of 20 and down 2 lbs from birth. She was refusing to eat and it was found that she had a blockage in her bowels. They have flown her to a children hospital to preform surgery to remove the bowel obstruction. As of now her jaundice levels are down to 12.5 when is relativly normal. Please keep baby Kaci and her family in your prayers.

So Different

This pregnancy is so different from my first two with the boys. It makes me wonder if maybe i will get my girl this time. It is just over all different. Almost everything have been a new and different experience with this bun in the oven.

For instance the cravings are a plenty! With Phabian i really didn't have any strong desire to eat anything. I know Tuna Salad tasted really good but i did HAVE to have it. I did have an aversion to meat (other than seafood) but i don't really know how you compare that. With MJ I only had one craving and that was Jalapenos. I ate them on everything but once again i could have lived without them also.

This time, this baby, all i want it breakfast food. I consume massive amounts of orange juice to the point i am scared i might overdose on Vitamin C. My freeze and fridge is packed full of bagels, waffles, pancakes, sausage, bacon, biscuits, and anything else you might desire to fix breakfast for a king. I cant make it a day without eating some sort of breakfast food.

Today i ate a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. It was so good that i wanted another but was out so i fixed scrambled eggs with cheese and ate it on toast. If i cant get this under control i am going to gain 100 pounds!

Another difference is my nausea. I never had any of that upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, morning sickness or what ever you want to call it. My sister was so jealous that i never went through that but this time around it seems i have been really nauseous. Especially first thing in the morning and it subsides around 2 in the afternoon. I still haven't actually thrown up and now as i approach 11 weeks it seems to be subsiding some as well as my constant tiredness.

I am so excited for this journey and can not hardly wait the 5 to 9 weeks it will be before we find out what we are having. As bad as i want a little girl i am not getting my hopes up. I will love this baby boy or girl and it seems to me that adding another boy to are family would be almost easier as we already know the routine. Adding a girl however would be a new adventure and a cute girly one at that.

So far so good though. My blood pressure looks good, i have yet to gain any weight, and i am coming out of my first trimester slump. All looks and feels well for a great beginning to a now 29 more week journey.
